The design process
The complete design cycle of a typical 7 page web site can be up to 2 weeks depending on your requirements. The following illustrates the key stages:-
- We ask a series of questions to understand your preferences, and your market. If you have any printed material, this is a good time to pass it on to us. At this time we will also consider target keywords and talk about hosting and domain name options.
- We create a number of sample web pages to your requirements and ask you to choose one we can then develop. Next, create a prototype of your web site.
- Once you have approved the prototype, we will optimise your site for the search engines, test and upload your site.
- If you have chosen us to manage your search engine marketing campaign, then there will be an ongoing process of submitting and tweaking of your site to reach a top position.
Note: New websites can take up to 8 months to reach a top position and be properly indexed on the search engines. This is commonly known as the ‘sandbox’. Google and Yahoo! are both thought apply this to new sites.
Once your web site is live, you can either manage the content yourself or choose us to look after your site. All maintenance is free for the first year on sites designed by us. We offer free support to those who want to manage the content themselves.
